Okay, so I'm running on about a 60 GB hard drive, and she's filling up fast. So I went on the hunt for external hard drives that were 300 GB and up for a reasonable price. Well, a friend was looking for the same thing, and he came across new egg.com. When you get there search for "external hard drives", and click on discount item, then fantom. I found a 300 GB for$99. So with shipping and taxes you're probably looking at, oh,$107 or so. I also found a 500 GB for $179, and come on you gotta admit that's wicked. Plus, the enclusure is made of titanium. Now for those who are not framiliar with titanium it's only the hardest metal you can get. The same metal that NASA uses. I'm not sure how long these deals will last, but I'm taking advantage while it's still there. I hope you guys found this helpful.
garage sale.
But thanks, the 500 gig drive does sound good but you have to think of the make of the drive inside.
You also need to think about the features of the cady, for example does it have a fan in it?
Still ok deal i guess.
Ben, it's a good deal, ieven if they threw a 5400 RPM ATA-66 drive in it running only USB2. After all, strage is storrage thiese days, unless you're doing audio editing, in which case, the Glif drives are the way to go, and you won't get deals on those.
For what it's worth, I may buy the 500GB drive! Thanks Ashley!
